Actor Rishi Kapoor Slams Rahul Gandhi Over His Comments On Dynasty But He Gets Trolled

The Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is in US for a two week visit. He delivered a speech at the University of California, Berkeley, ‘on India at 70’.

After the speech, in Q&A session, things were going well till a person from the audience asked a question regarding the prevalent dynasty trend that the Indian National Congress follows.

While responding this particular question, Mr. Gandhi said that this is a general trend in Indian politics that so many politicians are from the political background and he is not the only one.  He gave example of Akhilesh Yadav, MK Stalin, Anurag Thakur as politicians who are products of dynastic politics. He also mentioned Mr. Abhishek Bachhan as a dynast.

It seems that Mr. Gandhi’s response did not go down well with actor Rishi Kapoor who is famous for his out spoken nature. He then took to Twitter to give Mr. Gandhi a piece of his mind.

While responding to Mr. Gandhi, Actor slammed his opinion on dynasty.

The actor in his tweets advised Mr. Gandhi to achieve whatever he wants by earning the respect of the people, and for this, he should work hard among the people. He also mentioned his family’s contributions in the history of Indian Cinema through four generations from Prithviraj Kapoor to Ranbir Kapoor.

For his response, he received a series of mixed reactions on Twitter.

Actor got a mix reaction, while many have appreciated the actor for his tweets, there were others who defended Gandhi saying they were the people’s choice.

Someone also tweeted to the actor saying that “I can act better then you Mr. Chintu, but I don’t have father like legendary actor RK, grandfather like Prithviraj Kapoor sahib”.

But he got a befitting reply from actor’s side, the responded him tweeting as follows:
