The cities are small and not the dreams. This is to say about the life of one of the boys of Moradabad Kishan Mohan Girhotra (Farhan Akhtar). Kishan wants to become a singer, his dream is to record his own album one day. On the other hand, due to poor luck and long time there are some circumstances that he is mistakenly arrested for the murder of an IAS officer.
However, Kishan appears as a ray of hope, when he realizes that a band of prisoners is being built in the Lucknow Central Jail. These bands will compete with the rest of the jails on the State Level. All this is happening with the help of NGO worker Gayatri Kashyap (Diana Penty). Kishenan makes a band for the same competition. There are Victor (Deepak Dobriyal), Pancheshji (Rajesh Sharma), Tikat (Inamughalak) and Parminder (Gippi Gireval), but here is a twist because “Kishan’s plan is something else!”
Ranjit Tiwari, who is debuting in the direction of the film, does not leave his time and he comes to main plot in 15-20 minutes. Lucknow Central is Inspired by a Real Life Music Band. The name was Healing Hearts, this band was created by the inmates of the ideal caring prison.
At the same time, some sections of Lucknow Central are seen similar to the recently released Yash Raj Films prisoner band.
With this, the Lucknow Central has managed to keep you from stopping. At the same time, some scenes seem to be longer than necessary, in some scenes, logic is missing. It would not be wrong to say that if you go to see the film, then you will definitely not go for any action or romance but to see the life of a jail.
Farhan Akhtar looks perfectly in the character of his little town boy. At the same time, in the way of the wrong English speaking, they are heard somewhere strange and poor.
On the other hand, Ronit Roy and Ravi Kishan are the best in this film. He has done a great deal of tremendous comedy in the film. Along with Deepak Dobriyal, Rajesh Sharma, Inamulahak and Gippi Gireval also performed a lot of good.
On the other hand, Diana Penty’s roll has been written in a very bad way, due to which she could not do anything special.
Tushar Kanti Ray has shown the brightness of the prisoners’ lives in the darkened jails. At the same time, editing of Charu Shree Roy could have been good.
While the film revolves around music completely, on the other hand, the music of the film does not seem very special. Apart from Kawant-Kawn, no other song has been able to do special impressions.
Despite some drawbacks in the film, there is also some great moments about the fight of independence in Lucknow Central. To see which happens to go once.
